Round table panel discussion Pioneers & Innovators of Our Time

Moderator : Mr. Mesut Ciceker, Director EMEA Region, Lockheed Martin Space
Master of Ceremonies: Mr. Christian Moore, Senior Vice President Media, SSI Monaco
Panelists:
- Captain Robert "Hoot" Gibson, former US naval officer, test pilot, aeronautical engineer, NASA retired astronaut, flew aboard the shuttles Columbia, Atlantis, Endeavour;
- General Charles Bolden, former NASA Administrator, Major-general of the US Marine Corps and NASA astronaut;
- Dr. George "Pinky" Nelson, American physicist, astronomer, scientific educator and former NASA astronaut;
- Dr. Rhea Seddon, one of the first six women accepted into the Astronaut Corps;
- Captain Michael Lopez-Alegria, USN (Ret.), four-time astronaut, President of the Association of Space Explorers USA;
- Dr. Ilhami Aygun, President & CEO, Space Systems International - Monaco S.A.M., one the pioniers of satellite communications in Europe;
- Mr. Guy Beutelschies, VP Communication Satellite Solutions, Commercial Civil Space, Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company.
The Embassy also welcomes the following Pioneers and Innovators and NASA alumni:
- Buzz Aldrin, one of the first two men to set foot on the Moon in the 1969 historic Apollo 11 mission;
- Jean-François Clervoy, ESA (European Space Agency) astronaut from France;
- Patrick Baudry, cosmonaut and astronaut, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador.
